This serving bowl has some exceptionally confused quilting, almost seeming like flames in a windy fire that shimmer when turned in the light.
This piece was turned once, meaning that it was made while the wood was still wet and then allowed to dry. While it dries it organically warps leaving a completely unique piece. Maple doesn't warp drastically when drying so this bowls warping is subtle but still visible.
This bowl is finished with a Pure Raw Linseed Oil and beeswax mix (pastewax) that is made in house. 100% food safe.
The tree this bowl was made from was taken down for home construction outside of Monroe, Washington and was pulled from the would be firewood pile.
